    This will help you remember important issues you want to discuss, as well as concerns that your doctor my have about your treatment. Use the journal to keep track of:

    • Any symptoms you’ve experienced
    • Any bleeds you may have had and when they occurred
    • Your method of treatment, and what your dose was
    • How the bleed(s) responded to treatment
    • Any side effects you noticed that might be related to your treatment
  2. Prepare your questions

    Make a list of the questions you would like to ask—this will help keep you from forgetting to discuss the things that are most important to you

    • During the visit, jot down the answers to your questions so you can review them later
  3. Speak up

    Tell your doctor about any difficulty you might be having with your VWD treatment

  4. Know your options

    Having choices is good. So be sure to discuss all the available treatment options with your physician to select the treatment that’s right for you

  5. Ask about financial support
